Adam Wainwright leads the NL at 10-3 and the RH has 97 K's with only 9 Walks. The veteran has won 5 straight starts. He gets run support as well, as the Cardinals have outscored opponents 77-33 when he starts this season. The Cubs have Jeff Samardzija at the bump. The RH is 3-7 and has allowed 9 ER's on 18 hits in his L2 outings alone. The Cubs are 0-5 their L5 games played at the Cardinals and 18-39 their L57 games played vs. the NL Central. The Cardinals are 52-25 their L77 games played at home and 7-1 in Wainwright's L8 starts against the NL Central. This is a no-brainer. I lean towards the Cardinals on the RUN LINE. Today's winner is San Antonio over Miami. This is my NBA Game of the Year. It has been a tough 21 game post-season for Miami. the Heat are 5-8 ATS their L13, including a 3-4 ATS mark at home. In walks San Antonio, a team that has four NBA Titles in four trips to the Final's. This squad is 7-2 ATS their 9 road games played in this season's Playoff's. Just in the Final's, the unit has five players posting DD's, while Duncan and Leonard have out-rebounded James and Bosh. But it has been the play of Danny Green that has led to their success over Miami. The Guard leads San Antonio in scoring this series, averaging 18 PPG and hitting five or more 3-pointers in three games. Parker, Ginobili, and Duncan came up big in Game 5. The trio knows they need to finish off the Heat now. If there is a Game 7, that too is played in Miami after an obvious Game 6 win. Understand that the combination of SA's 44.2% outside shooting and Lebron James' shooting of 43.6% (down 13% from his regular season average) in this series will be the difference. Today's winner is Kansas City over Cleveland. This is my Grand Slam Winner. Kansas City has won 8 of their L10 to bring the team back to playing .500 ball at 34-34. They lead Cleveland by a half game in the Central. The Royals have taken 4 consecutive series this season. Their offense has scored seven or more runs four times in their L12 outings. Today, Ervin Santana is throwing. The RH has looked sharp, allowing just 2 ER's in 21 2/3 IP in his L3 starts. Santana has won each of his L2 starts vs. Cleveland, including a 7 inning shutout on April 27th. He faces an Indians squad that has dropped 10 of their L14, ranking 25th in Staff ERA (4.29).
