While we do feel an outright win is possible, our official call will be to grab the home side on the "runline" option. Great value here paying a mid-sized price for the extra 1.5 runs of insurance in a contest that we see being decided late, or even in extra time. Pittsburgh won the opener 13-3, but then fell 4-3 yesterday. Note thought that the Pirates are 3-1 in their last four in trying to avenge a home loss as a favorite vs an opponent. Merril Kelly is 4-3 with a 2.92 ERA for the D-Backs, but we're calling him a "wash" on the road here with Pirates' starer Roansy Contreras, who is 3-4 with a 4.40 ERA. Each has had success against his opponent in the past, but all signs point to this one being a lot closer than what the oddsmakers are trying to lead us to believe; the play is Pittsburgh on the runline option!
