AAA's *BYU/Central Florida* THURSDAY NIGHT BLOCKBUSTER!
(NCAAF) BYU vs. Central Florida, 10/09/2014 3:30 PM, Score: 24 - 31
Point Spread: 3.00 | -110.00 BYU (Away)
Result: Loss
This is an 8* BLOCKBUSTER on BYU.

This is a huge game for BYU as backup QB Christian Stewart will make his first start in place of Tayson Hill who broke his leg in last week's upset loss to Utah State. But with the shock of Hill being lost for the year firmly behind them and a few days off to regroup and reorganize, I think Stewart and company will catch a complacent UCF team off guard here. Stewart was actually able to move the ball against the Aggies, he finished with 172 yards passing and the fact that he overthrew some receivers can obviously be forgiven given the circumstances in which he was thrust into action in that game. And despite the embarrassing setback, there were some positives on the defensive side of the ball as well, as the team would make adjustments after the atrocious first half and looked a lot better from there on out, I think that momentum is carried over here. The defense for the Cougars catches a break this week anyways, the Knights have struggled in that department so far, averaging just 178.5 passing yards per game; QB Justin Holman has completed just 54% of his passes thus far. For the BYU offense, we can expect to see a heavy dose of of RB Jamaal Williams; UCF knows of this course and it will be stacking the box, which leaves the door open for Stewart to have a productive day over the top. BYU's defense is tough against the run, meaning Holman is going to be forced into some awkward throws. Note that BYU is 6-2 ATS in its last eight as an underdog, while UCF is just 6-7 ATS in its last 13 when playing with six days of rest. The situation, the numbers and the trends all point to BYU as the sharp wager in this contest.
