Total: 61.50 | -109.00 Under

If this were mid-season, I could see justification for this high of a total. But it's not. It's the season-opener for both teams. I don't see either team being in rhythm due to the disruption of the season and changing programs.
Houston is in its second year under Dana Holgorsen. The Cougars experienced a rebuilding year last season. Their defense should be much improved due to an influx of transfers.
I don't like Houston QB Clayton Tune. He replaces D'Eriq King, who transferred to Miami. Tune had just an 11-to-9 touchdown-to-interception ratio last year. He faces a Baylor defense that was an elite unit last season. The Bears did lose several starters from their defense, but have back leading tackler Terrel Bernard.
Defensive guru Dave Aranda is the Bears' new head coach replacing Matt Rhule. Most of Baylor's returning starters are on defense. Charlie Brewer is a solid QB. It's going to take a while, though, for Baylor to get in sync offensively.
