This is a 10* RUN-LINE PLAY OF THE YEAR on the Cleveland Indians.
Now or never. Do or die. This is it. Whatever term or phrase you want to use, there's no question that the Indians' season lies in the balanace over this series.
Cleveland is out of contention and will need to start stringing wins together and get some outside help. The Indians have lost eight in a row, but I think that streak of futility ends in a big way tonight in this extremely favorable matchup.
Justin Bieber (7-1, 1.53 ERA) gets the nod for the visitors and he's 4-1 with a 1.82 ERA in five career starts vs. the Tigers, who lost 4-0 at home to the Royals last night.
Casy Mize (0-1, 5.85) has yet to find the win column after six career starts for the Tigers and I think he's in well over his head in this matchup as well.
Finally note that the Indians are 7-2 in their last nine after a six games or longer unbeaten streak.
I'm laying the 1.5 runs for the much better price, as I look for this game to be completely lop-sided in nature for the Indians once the smoke does finally clear at the end of the night.
