This is a 10* CUSTOMER APPREICATION TOTAL on the UNDER Lakers/Nets.
I got down early and have been unfortunately saddled with a poor number (that was also the case last night with our WINNER on the UNDER in the Pacers/Magic. And that's the way it works sometimes when jumping on early lines, often you'll get favorable lines, but occassionally it works against you.)
Regardless of that though, after each side has seen the total go OVER in two straight, we're expecting these elite non-conference opponents to battle to a lower-scoring UNDER.
Both teams are dealing with significant injuries to key players. There's still lots of firepower left on the floor for each side though, so why then is this total going to stay UNDER, instead of flying OVER?
The Lakers are off a 110-104 loss in Miami and with a much more "winnable" game against the Knicks up next, followed by a "cream puff" at Charlotte to end this trip, the Lakers could easily fold up their tents by half-time here in prepartion for those contests.
Brooklyn is coming off a 139-111 home win over New Orleans, but note that it's seen the total go UNDER in eight of its last 11 after scoring 135 or more points in a SU/ATS home victory in its last outing.
This number is a little high, the play is the UNDER.
