This is a 9* TOP AMERICAN LEAGUE TOTAL on the OVER Royals/A's.

Both teams have been playing to several UNDERS of late, but everything finally points to more of an offensive affair on Saturday in my opinion.

The visitors hand the ball to Jackson Kowar (0-1), who got rocked in his pro debut on Monday, allowing four runs over just 2/3's of an innings. The only way he can go is "up" from here, but he's still unproven and I think will struggle in this difficult road venue.

The A's counter with James Kaprielian, who is 2-1 with a 3.08 ERA. He's off a loss to the Rockies despite allowing just two runs over five innings. Kaprielian has been great, but the sample size is once again too small to draw any decisive conclusions.

I'll point out though that the A's have seen the total go OVER the number in seven of their last nine after playing to five or more straight UNDERS in a row.

Everything points to an explosive affair here, the play is the OVER.
