The Angels have seen the total go UNDER in six straight, including in back-to-back victories at Minnesota to close out their weekend series.
The opener of this one on Monday sets up as a SLUG-FEST finally though in my opinion.
The Rockies go with German Marquez (8-7, 3.50 ERA), who gave up four earned runs off seven hits while striking out five over six innings in a loss to the Mariners on Tuesday.
While he's 6-2 with a 3.11 ERA at home, he's just 2-5 with 4.13 ERA on the road.
The home side counters with Shohei Ohtani (4-1, 3.21) who went six scoreless in a no-decision vs. the A's on Monday.
It's difficult to say too many negative things about Ohtani. Everyone keeps expecting some sort of regression to appear, but so far that's not been the case.
The Angels though have seen the total go OVER in ten of their last 13 after playing to five or more estraight UNDERS in a row.
The Rockies have seen the total go OVER in seven of their last ten as well after playing to three or more straight UNDERS in a row.
While each team has struggled with offensive consistency coming in, everything points to those trends ending tonight.
