Texas vs. Iowa State,
10/03/2013 19:30 EDT,
Score: 31 - 30
Point Spread: +8/-110 Iowa State
Texas starting quarterback David Ash, who left games due to a head injury twice in 15 days last month, did not make the trip to Iowa State and won’t play on Thursday, UT announced. Also Wide receiver Mike Davis, who missed the KSU game with an ankle injury, is less than 100% and will be a game-time decision. Right tackle Josh Cochran (shoulder) is also out. Texas has also suffered on defense this year which is not a good thing vs a Iowa State team that might have finally started to break out of an offensive funk. Iowa State racked up 434 total yards, rushing for 179 vs Tulsa last week. The Cyclones had two backfield stars last week in emerging Aaron Wimberly with 137 yards and 7.3 yards per carry, plus power back who Jeff Woody pounded in three scores, all in true hard-nosed Woody fashion. I know Texas played well last week, but vs a over rated KSU side, but Im betting they stumble a bit here and more importantly fail to cover the number. It must be noted that Big 12 Conference home dogs off a win are 9-3 SU and 11-1 ATS when facing a .500-or less conference foe .
