Score: 42 - 73
Point Spread: -27½/-115 Baylor
The Baylor Bears have turned into the Big 12’s version of the Oregon Ducks. Art Briles deserves a ton of credit for what he has done with this program.
Baylor is putting up video game numbers, and the Bears have speed to burn all over the field.
Baylor is averaging 69.7 points per game through three contests. They haven’t played top competition, but games against Louisiana Monroe and Buffalo aren’t terrible matchups either.
If you are scoring 70 points per game while shutting it down in the third quarter like Baylor has been doing, you have something very special going on.
What’s the scariest part for opponents? The Bears appear to have a much improved defense in Waco this season. Baylor is giving up just 7.7 points per game on the year.
This defense will certainly regress as they start facing good offenses, but they are much better than they have been in recent years.
West Virginia lost by 37 at Maryland a couple weeks ago, and the Mountaineers are going to be completely outclassed in this one.
West Virginia could easily be down 28-0 before this one really gets going. Baylor absolutely has the potential to win this game by 40 or 50 points.
Baylor is 6-0 ATS in their last 6 vs. a team with a winning record. The Bears are 15-2 ATS in their last 17 home games.
Baylor should roll here in a big way.
Take Baylor. Good Luck, Razor Ray.
