Joe D'Amico's NFL NFC Game of the Month
New Orleans vs. Chicago,
10/06/2013 13:00 EDT,
Score: 26 - 18
Point Spread: 0/-110 New Orleans
Sunday's winner is New Orleans over Chicago. This is my NFC Game of the Month.
Jay Cutler has 6 INTs and 2 fumbles while Matt Forte has just 320 YR and that is against an overrated Cincinnati "D", and three laughable stop units in Minnesota, Pittsburgh, and Detroit. meanwhile, the Bears "D" ranks 21st in Total Yards (384) and 26th in Points Allowed, yielding 28.5 PPG. New Orleans is a Top-10 team in Total Yards, Passing Yards, and Points Scored. Drew Brees has 1434 YP, a 66.9% CR, and 10 TDs against just 4 INTs. The big improvement is on defense where the Saints are 5th in points allowed, giving up a mere 13.8 PPG. Their DC, Rob Ryan will have his unit primed and ready to force Cutler to make mistakes. Drew Brees will keep the Bears "D" on the field and out of breath. Chicago is 0-3-1 ATS their L4 games played at home, 1-5 ATS their L6 games against teams with a winning record, and 2-6-1 ATS their L9 games played overall. The Saints are 14-5 ATS their L19 games played following a SU loss, 11-4 ATS their L15 games played vs. teams with a winning record, and 5-2 ATS their L7 overall. Take New Orleans. Thank you.
