**BLOWOUT CITY** MLB VIOLATOR! (221-140 RUN!)
Kansas City vs. Boston,

Score: 5 - 7
Point Spread: -1½/-143 Boston
I'm playing BOSTON on the run-line. (-1.5 runs) After getting destroyed by the Rays and Yankees, the Sox are now 6.5 games back in the Wild Card race. Desperate for a winning streak, a visit from the Royals is just what the doctor ordered. Boston manager Alex Cora had this to say: "Overall, a horrible week. There's no doubt in my mind these guys can turn it around." The Royals have dropped six in a row and nine of 10. Their last five losses have all come by more than one run. Boston's last three wins came by 25 combined runs, each by a minimum of four. That included a 19-3 destruction with Porcello on the mound against Tanaka. Montgomery, who will be on limited pitch count has a 22.50 ERA as a starter on the road. Almost all of his work this season has been out of the bullpen; he's got a 9.88 ERA and 2.41 WHIP on the road, opposing batters hitting .400! Montgomery has made one career start against the Red Sox. That came here at Fenway and he lost 15-1. In just 2 1/3 innings, he managed to give up nine earned runs. Porcello last faced KC a little over a year ago. He struck out nine (only one walk) in seven innings, allowing just three runs and winning 7-4. Dating back to the July series last year, the Sox have beat the Royals six straight times by more than a run. Expect more of the same this evening.
