I'm playing on PITTSBURGH. The Pirates are playing arguably their best baseball of the season while the Marlins are reeling. The Pirates have won four straight and eight of 10. The Marlins have dropped three straight and six of seven. While he did record eight K's against just one walk, Keller struggled overall last time out. However, that was a road game against the Phillies. In his previous start, a home game against the Reds, he allowed just a single run through six complete innings. In that one, he recorded nine K's, again walking just one. Now, not only does he pitch at home, he gets to take on the weakest offense in the National League. Miami averages just 3.3 rpg on the road. (The Pirates average 4.8 rpg at home.) While the Marlins will see Keller for the first time, the Pirates got a look at Alcantara back in June, pounding out eight hits against him. The Pirates have been money as home favorites in this range. Look for them to move to 29-9 (+14.2) the past 38 times that they were listed as home favorites of -150 or greater.
